Guests say

Guests have had delightful stays at Stone Lodge, praising its warm and comfortable atmosphere, especially during the autumn season. The property is spacious and well-equipped, nestled in a charming village with a friendly local pub and good dining options nearby. It serves as an excellent base for exploring local market towns and attractions. Some guests mentioned a generous welcome hamper, adding to the pleasant experience. However, there is a note about the parking situation requiring caution due to a blind bend.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to a dog-friendly pub, fishing waters, and market towns. However, the parking situation on a blind bend is a concern for safety.

Guests have consistently noted the property as lovely and warm, with a comfortable and spacious setting, contributing to an enjoyable stay.

The property is equipped with everything needed, and there are great local amenities including a pub and cafe. However, there is a suggestion that the Wi-Fi could be improved.

The mention of a generous welcome hamper indicates thoughtfulness, but as such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay, they should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

Just back from a lovely 3 night stay which I had booked for my husband’s birthday and we really enjoyed it. We were welcomed with a generous hamper which was a great surprise and a lovely gesture. The cottage itself is nice and spacious equipped with everything we needed. It’s set in a lovely village with a nice dog friendly pub which is literally a 5 minute walk. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly. My husband had a great morning fishing at Fulbeck waters which again was only about 5 minutes drive away. We visited nearby Market towns which were within a 30 minute drive so was great to get out and about without having to drive miles. My only concern was we’re we had to park our car, it’s literally on a blind bend so reversing out was quite nerve wracking and unfortunately there was no space to turn the car around to make driving off safer.
