We enjoyed a relaxing, comfortable week at the Lodge in the Woods. Loved watching the wildlife in the garden, but were disappointed that the garden wasn't fully enclosed, as we had thought it would be. Having said that, if it had been we may not have seen the muntjac visitor who appeared in the garden the day before we left.The Red Lion pub, just 3 minutes' walk away, is excellent - it has a good bar and serves superb food - smiles aplenty and good service, too. We'd highly recommend this accommodation - it rates well above many we have stayed in.If you're looking for a 'get away from it all' holiday, the Lodge in the Woods could be for you.

We had the most amazing time here . The dog was more than happy with the garden and extended wood this very useful to use . The lodge was very cosy and had everything you could need , it was clean and comfortable throughout and we would highly recommend this lodge many good dog walks nearby and the pubs we visited were all dog friendly loved it

Unfortunately we booked when we were taking our golden retriever with us. Our dog died 2 months ago and it was therefore not the property for us although it was nice.
