A fisherman’s dream, enjoying a glorious and peaceful setting by a well stocked mixed coarse lake, home to specimen carp of up to 25lb, these exceptional lodges are a delightful year round holiday retreat. A fishing permit is available. The dog friendly local inn is just 100 yards away and among numerous attractions in the area are Bollingbroke Castle, Snipe Dales Country Park, and the towns of Spilsby and Horncastle for wonderful antique shop browsing. The long sandy beaches of the Lincolnshire coast and the city of Lincoln, with its magnificent cathedral and famous Christmas market, are all within a short drive. Shop/post office 2 miles, pub 100 yards.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.. Both properties: Electric underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. There are two Lodges and we have stayed in both. This time we stayed in Kingfisher Lodge. You used to be able to fish in different spots around the lake but now you can only fish 🐟 from your own lodge. I think this is better. There is more then enough space to fish. Two lodges, one lake to use. A fully stocked lake and you will catch lots of fish. The lodge is comfortable and well equipped. You can sit on the decking and watch the sun 🌞 come up. Fish from dusk to dawn. We have stayed here four or five times now and would recommend it 💯%. It's not far from a lovely village, with a Sainsbury, Chip shop and other takeaways. Historic buildings. Free parking up to one hour. Not far from Skegness if you prefer that. All in all, great fishing, lovely Lodge, countryside, sun rises and settings.

No attention to detail spared in this beautiful comfy and very quiet lodge. Only 1 other lodge in lovely surroundings . Great fishing, as the whole lake is provided just for the 2 lodges. Would have loved to go again next year but booked up. Delicious food and friendly staff in the pub next door, but due to the quiet nature of the village it’s a shame it only opens Thursday through to Sunday.
