It is located 4 miles from the coastal seaside town of Skegness and 1.4 miles away from the village of Wainfleet. It is in a lovely, peaceful location and has stunning views across open fields. This property is ideal for families, friends or couples. The cottage features an open plan layout with a log burner for those chilly days and evenings. Arriving at Smithy cottage you pull into the driveway and park to the left, where indicated by the parking sign. Access to the cottage is via the private path, on the left, following the sign.

Stepping inside, the accommodation is set out on one level with easy access to all the rooms. The open plan area contains the kitchen, dining and the sitting area. This space is arranged with sofas for relaxing, a well equipped kitchen for the chef of the group to get creative and a dining area where you can enjoy meals together or for sitting together chatting or playing games at the end of the day. The layout allows guests to spend time in one shared area whether watching the TV, reading, dining, whipping up a delicious meal or planning the adventures ahead.

The bedrooms provide relaxing spaces to rest after days out with comfortable twin beds in one room (these can be made into a superking if needed) and a king size bed in the other bedroom. There are stunning views over open fields from both bedroom windows. The bathroom offers a bath to soak your muscles in or a shower for a brisk start to the day. Outside, there is a spacious, tranquil garden to the front of the property, perfect for socialising with friends, alfresco dining or just chilling in the peaceful surroundings. To the rear of the property there is further seating where you can enjoy the beautiful views and, if up early enough, watch the sunrise!

The Smithy cottage is perfectly situated; only 4 miles away from the popular, family seaside town of Skegness where you can enjoy long walks along the beach or have an ice cream on the promenade but is also nestled in a quiet, rural location and in walking distance to the cosy, traditional pub ‘The Chequers’ which is listed as the oldest inn in Lincolnshire. There are lots of things to do in the local area, why not visit Batemans brewery in Wainfleet to see how they make their famous beer. Or you can hire Croft spa (a pool, hot tub and sauna) to relax even more!

Both of these are close by. Further afield (about 15 minutes by car) you will find the beautiful, unspoilt Lincolnshire Wolds, perfect for exploring on foot by bike or by car. There are many lovely pubs dotted around where you can stop off for a well earned rest. Gibraltar Point National Nature reserve (20 minutes by car) is perfect for spending time outdoors, long walks around the nature trails, along the beach and spotting lots of wildlife along the way. There is also a visitor centre with an excellent coffee shop where you can enjoy a drink and a snack or buy some hand made gifts whilst overlooking the reserve.

This charming market town, also a former port, rests close to the coast of Lincolnshire. The town rests in between the rivers Steeping and Lymn, and is within a stone's throw of the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds aonb. An intriguing history surrounds the town, with a number of landmarks still standing to tell the tale. Magdalen College School is a Grade I listed building housing an interesting museum, while the Market Place boasts two Grade II listed structures with its clock tower and Buttercross. The towns pretty streets come lined with a number of places to shop, eat and drink the days away. Venture to the nearby Lincolnshire coast, where Skegness and Ingoldmells attract many visitors with their superb attractions for all to enjoy.
