With a stylish and modern, design, our signature Peacock Lakeside Lodge is North/North-West facing and offers a luxurious lakeside retreat. The ground floor features a spacious open-plan lounge and dining area, where you can relax and take in the beautiful lakeside views. The fully equipped kitchen includes a wine cooler, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, and a bespoke welcome pack for that extra special touch. Elegant bathroom with a slipper bath, double vanity sinks, and a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the master king-size bedroom is both spacious and serene, complete with a large skylight positioned over the bed, perfect for a night of stargazing. Outside, a private deck with high-quality seating and a bubbling hot tub creates the perfect spot to relax and reconnect. Ideal for romantic getaways, celebrating special occasions, or exploring the beauty of the surrounding area.. Set within 11 acres of grounds of Wyberton House, the properties take their name from the site’s original use, a Woad Farm, with worker’s cottages and a Mill. These larch-clad lodges are furnished with comfort and quality in mind. All the lodges offer a superb base for touring or a relaxing break in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Locally there are seaside beaches, rspb marshland reserves such as Frampton Marsh and Freiston Shore, the Lincolnshire Wolds - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the stunning cathedral city of Lincoln, market towns, and historic Boston. A pub bistro can be found ½ mile away.
We allow fishing but only with sweetcorn, worms or maggots no boilies, pellets, ground baits or feeds of any kind, we have Grass Carp, Tench, Roach and Koi up to about 8-10 lbs. We operate a catch-and-release policy with no barbed hooks and guests are only allowed to fish at the side of their cabin or from the deck so that they don’t intrude on other guest’s privacy. Having never stayed in the area and wanting a peaceful getaway, Peacock Lodge at The Woad Mill Lodges was excellent in every way posible. The lodge itself, stunning, with so many homely comforts. Walking into a warm, scented, beautiful open plan layout, roomy bathroom complete with a large shower and bath and to end the night snuggled up in the exceptionally comfy bed, complete with skylight for star gazing. Finally, to add to the experience, the feathered friends that greeted us in the morning waiting for some crumbs!.. Beautiful black swans, ducks and morhens.. even spotted the cheeky heron trying his luck on the pondside - as spotted a few very large carp!. Would love to revisit one summer... to make even more use of the hot tub and bbq...

Absolutely loved our stay! Will be looking to re book back up shortly. Few things to mention, the cabin really retains heat so even in October we had the air con on in the bedroom at night but it would wake us up with awful sounds. The bedroom light didnt work so had to get ready in the dark on the nights. We stayed Monday to Friday so would of been nice if we had few more towels to dry ourself off from showers and hot tub On another note the cabin is near enough perfect, from the hot tub on the evening to the swan thats on the lake We would absolutely return

Absolutely beautiful lodge and surroundings. We needed a slice of peace and tranquility and Woad Mill was definitely it. The Lodge was bigger than we expected with everything that we required. As the weather was really warm, we spent most of our time out on the decking, enjoying the hot tub in the evening.
