With a stylish and modern, design, our signature Peacock Lakeside Lodge is North/North-West facing and offers a luxurious lakeside retreat. The ground floor features a spacious open-plan lounge and dining area, where you can relax and take in the beautiful lakeside views. The fully equipped kitchen includes a wine cooler, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, and a bespoke welcome pack for that extra special touch. Elegant bathroom with a slipper bath, double vanity sinks, and a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the master king-size bedroom is both spacious and serene, complete with a large skylight positioned over the bed, perfect for a night of stargazing. Outside, a private deck with high-quality seating and a bubbling hot tub creates the perfect spot to relax and reconnect. Ideal for romantic getaways, celebrating special occasions, or exploring the beauty of the surrounding area.. Set within 11 acres of grounds of Wyberton House, the properties take their name from the site’s original use, a Woad Farm, with worker’s cottages and a Mill. These larch-clad lodges are furnished with comfort and quality in mind. All the lodges offer a superb base for touring or a relaxing break in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Locally there are seaside beaches, rspb marshland reserves such as Frampton Marsh and Freiston Shore, the Lincolnshire Wolds - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the stunning cathedral city of Lincoln, market towns, and historic Boston. A pub bistro can be found ½ mile away.
We allow fishing but only with sweetcorn, worms or maggots no boilies, pellets, ground baits or feeds of any kind, we have Grass Carp, Tench, Roach and Koi up to about 8-10 lbs. We operate a catch-and-release policy with no barbed hooks and guests are only allowed to fish at the side of their cabin or from the deck so that they don’t intrude on other guest’s privacy. Very disappointed stay.. This was our 3rd stay & the standards have declined massively. Mattress is lumpy & so soft you can feel the filling. All 4 pillows had hardly any filing, all very flat & no supportSofa sagging, we had to use the cushions to stop that sinking feeling. Cobwebs on the blinds on the top of the windows. Fridge had no shelves or fridge door shelf. Which meant we literally had to stack the fresh foods & milk we had taken with us on top of each other, a right balancing act..!!! Did inform John the site owner, only to reply “thanks for letting me know” I would have expected that sort of information would have been passed on prior to our stay & rectified. Not good when you are having your place raw meats next to cooked meats etc. TV signal : streaming was poor. Did report & was rectified. Hot tub was constantly purging which we had to stop this ourselves by moving the flap inside the tub. I doubt very much we will attempt a 4th visit here as the cost for the standard was below par which is a shame as the peace & tranquility is second to none.

Lovely weekend away in an idyllic setting. Great for my husband to be able to fish off the patio whilst I relaxed in the hot tub. Good facilities to be able to cook meals and make drinks. Very clean and spacious, I was tempted to move in! My only slight criticism (and this is probably more personal choice) is we didn’t find the bed to be comfortable. Would absolutely visit again

Having never stayed in the area and wanting a peaceful getaway, Peacock Lodge at The Woad Mill Lodges was excellent in every way posible. The lodge itself, stunning, with so many homely comforts. Walking into a warm, scented, beautiful open plan layout, roomy bathroom complete with a large shower and bath and to end the night snuggled up in the exceptionally comfy bed, complete with skylight for star gazing. Finally, to add to the experience, the feathered friends that greeted us in the morning waiting for some crumbs!.. Beautiful black swans, ducks and morhens.. even spotted the cheeky heron trying his luck on the pondside - as spotted a few very large carp!. Would love to revisit one summer... to make even more use of the hot tub and bbq...
