I cannot say nice enough things about the Stables. Accomodation was wonderful, cosy and homely with an extensive welcome pack. It has been decorated to a very high level and it's clear a lot of care and attention has gone in to everything. The hosts had provided everything we could hope for and communication from them prior to our stay was friendly and first class. And when they say this place is dog friendly, they take it to another level of welcoming. Fantastic doggy bundle of bowls, blankets and treats to make the pups comfy and happy through our stay. Highly recommended by our hosts (and now us) was the Berkeley Arms where we had a great dinner on our first evening. We took time out to explore Belvoir Castle grounds and farm shop, just a 20 minute drive away, took in a quick drink at Round Corner Brewing in Melton before heading back home for a cosy night in front of the log fire. We also luckily timed our trip with Melton's 40s festival which was a real fun experience on the sunday. The Stables is genuinely one of the most welcoming and charming places we have ever stayed and we can't thank Nat and Dan enough for allowing us to share in this wonderful, charming and calming retreat.

Two nights at The Stables in April '26 and loved it. Easy to find and easy to park. In a lovely, tranquil location. Super clean and high quality throughout. Charming that the stables theme is maintained in the decor. Loads of interesting detail. Loved the lounge area with skylight, doors opening into the garden and good size TV with loads of apps (why do so many places have small, old tvs?). We would recommend The Stables without hesitation.
