We found the Stables to be comfortable and cosy and enjoyed our stay. Good situation for the places we wished to visit and Stables sited in a pretty village with a church and a good pub which was walkable.Due to the extreme intense heat during our stay and no window in the 2nd bedroom, it was stuffy. Windows in that area open on to the outside so not comfortable leaving open during the night.Parking out front on high street which was a concern as unable to keep an eye on as accommodation at back.

We stayed for two nights in June 2026 in order to give our dog a break away! Which sounds like she is well spoilt but we needed to get her used to being away from home so she settles better at night. The accommodation is really lovely, clean and well maintained - and a very decent size to boot. The host (Eloise who was very friendly and pleasant to deal with) and fellow guests have left tips for things to do in the area which is a really nice touch. We went to a few nearby country parks and suggested dog walks but unfortunately it was too hot for the dog to fully explore. There is only a small village shop in the village but there is also a friendly pub nearby (5 min walk) which does basic pub meals - but they are a good size and very tasty. Can park on the road directly outside the house which was fine. There is a small enclosed garden for the dog and an interesting churchyard nearby to explore. Would heartedly recommend this accommodation as a good, comfortable base from which to explore the local area from. Five stars 🌟

We (2 adults and 1 Cocker Spaniel), came here for a quiet re-set, a bit of a 'road-trip' and a couple of 're-unites' with old friends. Our stay did not disappoint in any way. Ellie made everything so effortless and so comfortable. We were able to relax straightaway and feel the full benefit of this delightful cottage.
