Located in the delightful village of Caldecott and amongst the glorious rolling countryside of Rutland, this charming cottage provides the ideal base for exploring the local area. From your doorstep you have a host of walks and cycle ways and within easy reach is the quite stunning Rutland Water which as well as 25 miles worth of scenic walks around it shores, also offers a variety of activities including sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, boat trips, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, abseiling, cycling and hot air ballooning. History lovers will be spoilt for choice with many local historic buildings including the 12th century Oakham Castle, Burghley House, a truly stunning Elizabethan house and a must visit for equestrian lovers and the magnificent Rockingham Castle, built by William the Conqueror. Enter this cosy cottage and arrive into the open plan lounge/diner where loved ones can come together and snuggle up in front of the wood burner whilst sitting on either of the two comfortable sofas before deciding whether to stream or watch your favourite show on the wall mounted Smart TV. If you decide to dine in then there is a folding table that can set up to four guests so why not cook up a treat for loved ones and indulge with the flames from the wood burner providing an idyllic backdrop. Preparing a meal will be easy in the well equipped kitchen which has a an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Heading up the stairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom is king size with a chest of drawers and a wardrobe and bedroom two is a twin (can be made into a kingsize upon request). Completing the accommodation is a shower room with shower and WC. The spacious enclosed lawned rear garden has a patio area with table and chairs along with a charcoal BBQ so why not enjoy some al fresco dining with the rolling hills of Rutland county providing a scenic backdrop. Cyclists need not worry about where to store your bikes as there is secure bike storage in the large shed available for you during your stay. There is on street parking to the front of the property for up to two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin Zip and Link (can be made into a king size double upon request). 1 shower room with shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Wood burner. Smart TV in lounge. Enclosed garden with seating and charcoal BBQ. Next door have right of way access through garden from side entrance along paved area next to house. 1 medium size dog welcome. On street parking for 2 cars. Pub within walking distance. Park with children's playground 2 minutes walk away.. Secure Brick Shed for bike storage.
