Bridge House offers a charming, characterful stay in a peaceful location with a well-maintained hot tub and responsive communication from hosts. Guests appreciated the quiet setting and garden, making it a pleasant spot for relaxation. However, several reviews noted that the property would benefit from improved maintenance, updated décor, and better equipment. Cleanliness and comfort were inconsistent, and some basic amenities were lacking. With some attention to detail and refurbishment, this cottage could become a truly delightful holiday home.
Cleanliness was inconsistent, with some guests finding the property spotless, while others reported issues such as dust, cobwebs, musty smells, and poor cleaning standards.
The location was praised for its quiet, peaceful setting and characterful surroundings, though some guests were surprised by the proximity to other lodges and lack of privacy.
Guests enjoyed the warm house and garden, but comfort was affected by issues such as uneven heating, uncomfortable beds, and maintenance problems like damp and squeaky furniture.
The hot tub was a highlight, but many guests found the property poorly equipped, with missing kitchen essentials, broken appliances, and maintenance issues such as faulty electrics and worn décor.
Basic supplies such as cleaning products, hand soap, and toilet rolls were limited or missing. While some toiletries were provided, guests should note that gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

This property has the potential to be a nice stay but it is poorly maintained and cleaned. Weeds have started to grow in patio doors into kitchen and at night the kitchen is invaded with big slugs. Catches on windows are loose, broken or missing. The only shower on the ground floor has as much water coming out of the bottom of the shower hose as the top and the tiles on wall are starting to bulge off due to damp. The socket the fridge was plugged into wasn't working so we had to move it to another one and thankfully it worked. The wooden beds felt like they all needed tightened up as they were wobbly and very squeaky and uncomfortable. Rising damp has paint flaking and plaster crumbing along bottom of walls in places. Cobwebs and dust from property not being properly cleaned. We have never been so disappointed in any property we have stayed before. I would recommend you look at a different property it you are looking for a comfortable and clean stay.

This could be a fabulous place to stay. Unfortunately, it is the worst equipped holiday home that we have ever stayed in. Just to get by, we had to buy scissors, sharp knives, a potato peeler plus ALL cleaning products! There wasn't even a dishcloth. No washing up liquid, no cleaning products at all. No spare toilet (yet there were silly little hotel toiletries). Couldn't use the tumble dryer as it didn't work, but when we tried, it blew the electrics! Paid a damage deposit of £250, however, when the girl went to check so we could be refunded, I explained that it was in better condition than when we arrived, as I had cleaned it! Forgot to add that there was no iron either. The maintenance manager lent me his for the weekend. Tom Hartley, seriously look at sprucing the house up, please
