Ideal for both business and leisure stays, The Coach House in Melbourne is situated in an excellent location close to Derby, Donington Park and Nottingham. We are set close to the village centre and within easy reach of the M1 and A42/ M42 road links. We offer a well equipped range of ensuite accommodation and great facilities including on site parking and WiFi service. There is also a guest lounge with feature fireplace and a delicious cooked breakfast is served in our ground floor contemporary dining room. Enjoy visiting a host of historical attractions during your stay including Calke Abbey, Kedleston, Sudbury House, and Chatsworth House, explore the surrounding area of The National Forest by bike or foot or take the kids to nearby family attractions including Twycross Zoo, Conkers, and Alton Towers.

We offer six modern ensuite guest rooms at The Coach House and can accommodate singles, couples and families. Our accommodation includes a super king-size double room with two easy chairs, a double ensuite room with king size bed and modern shower room, comfortable twin and triple rooms plus family accommodation for two adults and one child. We also offer a connecting double and twin room which can be booked together to accommodate families of two adults and two children. Both rooms offer an ensuite and are connected via a secure hallway with direct access to the car park. Our bed and breakfast may be suitable for less mobile guests with two ground floor rooms and ground floor breakfast room accessible without steps from the car park available. Each of our guest rooms is well equipped with an LCD TV with Freeview service, a dressing table/ work desk, hair dryer, ironing facilities, hospitality tray, individually controlled central heating and complimentary toiletries.

Families are welcome and under two's stay for free. We also offer reduced rates for children aged two to under thirteen years. Cots and high chairs can also be provided on request. We offer special rates for guests booking two weekend nights and for bookings of four nights or more. Please note we do not accept pets and smoking is permitted in the garden only. Check in time is 2pm and 10pm and please vacate your room by 11am on your departure day.

Leave M1 at J 23A

Take 2nd exit off roundabout, the A453 signposted East Midlands Airport & Donington

Stay on A453 for approx 3 miles, ignoring turns for the airport & Donington.

Approx 0.6 of a mile after the Castle Donington turn, take right hand turn, signposted Melbourne and Donington Park.

Follow road for approx 2.5 miles into Melbourne centre.

At t-junction (Spar shop on right) turn right onto Derby Road. The Coach House is 150 yards on the left, just after the Alma Inn.

FROM M1 heading south

(approx 7 miles)

Leave M1 at J 24 & take 4th exit off roundabout, the A453 signed A42 & ema

Follow road for 1/2 mile to roundabout & take 3rd exit, the A453, signed ema & Donington

Stay on A453 for 3 miles, ignoring turns for airport & Donington.

Approx 0.6 mile after the Donington turn, take right turn, signed Melbourne & Donington

Follow road approx 2.5 miles into Melbourne

At t-junction (Spar shop on right) turn right into Derby Road. Coach House is 150 yards on left, just after the Alma Inn

FROM A42/M42 heading north/north east

Leave the A42 at J 13, signposted A511, Ashby & Coalville.

Take 1st exit off the roundabout, signed A511 Ashby.

After 250 yards, at the next roundabout, take 3rd exit, the B587, signed Melbourne & Lount.

Stay on this road for approx 2 miles. Just after passing through Lount, turn left onto B587 signposted Melbourne.

Stay on this road for approx 3.5 miles to enter Melbourne.

Stay on this road through Melbourne village. The Coach House is on the left, just after the Alma Inn

FROM A50

(approx 3 miles)

Leave the A50 at J 3, signposted Melbourne & Swadlincote, up the slip road to a roundabout.

At the roundabout take the exit signposted Melbourne A514.

Follow road (A514 changes to B587) for about 2.75 miles, over Swarkestone Causeway & through Stanton-by-Bridge. Just after the turning to King’s Newton (on a sharp bend), turn left into Derby Road signed Melbourne Town Centre.

Follow the road into Melbourne for approx 0.5 mile. The Coach House is on the right, just after Budgens.
