Snaptrip says

The Manor House in Ashbourne is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its character, spaciousness, and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and the property's charm. The large garden and proximity to a nice pub add to the positive experience. Some guests suggest improvements in seating arrangements and mention minor maintenance issues, but overall, the property is celebrated for its suitability for large groups and family gatherings.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found The Manor House clean, with fresh bedding and a well-maintained garden. However, a few mentioned dust and cobwebs in some areas, suggesting room for improvement in the upkeep of this charming, old property.

The location is highly regarded, with guests enjoying the quiet village setting, beautiful countryside, and a friendly pub across the road. Its proximity to attractions like Alton Towers and the convenience for walks and local amenities contribute to its high rating.

Guests report a high level of comfort, with comfy beds and spacious rooms. However, some guests found the sofas low and the mattresses in certain rooms uncomfortable. The suggestion of additional seating to accommodate larger groups indicates that comfort could be enhanced.

The property's facilities are generally well-received, with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Nonetheless, guests have noted issues with the oven, a wobbly freestanding bath, and a desire for more showers. These maintenance points suggest the need for attention to ensure reliability and guest satisfaction.

While guests have expressed gratitude for the welcome basket and the provision of a high chair and travel cot, there are not enough references to gifts or thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are appreciated but may not be guaranteed.

More child friendly than expected with large room to play in. Would be lovely in the summer with the large garden and nice pub literally across the road. The wi fi isn't great but that's a good thing as it forced people to put their devices away. I would definitely stop here again but if your over 6ft mind your head, lots of low beams and doors.

Very spacious and warm. Accommodated our toddler grandson and a very sensitive Viszla extremely well. Panelled bedroom like being on a ship with wonky floorboards and doors . The goat got a nasty suprise when we appeared in the garden but managed to hop over the gate into its proper field before the dog could say hello. Very well equipped with a small supply of tea and coffee-big bottle milk left for us in the fridge. Obviously a much loved family home and not a sterile holiday venue.
