About this property

This charming, mid-terrace cottage is based on the outskirts of the lively market town of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Designed with a mix of contemporary style and historic character, 4 Jubilee Cottages is well-placed for enjoying the delights of Derbyshire, including the scenic Peak District. After a long day of exploring, look forward to unwinding in the sitting room, relaxing upon the sumptuous sofa whilst catching up on some good television. When your hunger picks up, the kitchen has been fitted to a high standard and is well-equipped to suit your needs. A separate dining room provides a wonderful place to enjoy family mealtimes and discuss potential plans for the holiday. When the evening comes a close, head upstairs to find the two bedrooms, including a double and a bunk and ample storage space. Outside you can enjoy an alfresco coffee in your patio before heading out to the town centre. Ashbourne is home to all your amenities; spend your day touring the various cobbled alleys and popping into the independent shops, before stopping for a refreshing beverage at one of the numerous pubs and eateries in the centre of the town. Those feeling active can explore the many walking and cycling routes in the vicinity, leading you onto attractions such as Sudbury Hall, Carsington Water and Tissington Trail, plus the magnificent Peak District National Park, home to vast landscapes and stunning bodies of water. There is also the quintessentially English city of Derby nearby, boasting an eclectic mix of fine restaurants and shops, the market town of Uttoxeter for the day at the races, and the popular Alton Towers theme park․ Other nearby locations include Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth. 4 Jubilee Cottages offers a heart-warming retreat, whatever time of year.

Ashbourne is a superb example of an English market town, having a market place with vendors, an odd street pattern, small cobbled lanes, coaching inns, and almshouses. It is located near the southern extremity of the Peak District. The town was a fashionable social centre in the 18th century, and many excellent Georgian structures from that era still stand today. The town still has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and inns, and it's considered a haven for antique hunters - but don't anticipate a good deal! The Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by for people who want more outdoor activities. It'll just take you 20 minutes to go to Alton Towers.
