About this property

Previously providing the stables for the brewery horses in Weymouth, Nuke and it's surrounding properties have now been renovated into pretty mews-style houses, ideal for a holiday getaway with your loved ones. The traditional tone is set with a wonderful stable front door, from which you enter into the modern open-plan dining and living room area, that is great for relaxing in front of the TV after a busy day exploring Weymouth. Going through to the kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with everything you need to create some delicious meals using the gas hob and electric oven, and why not soak up as much of the sun as possible by taking things outside and chilling on the front decking. Upstairs are two delightfully bright bedrooms, the master having an en-suite, and the second being a cosy twin bedroom, with the family bathroom across the way containing a corner bath, fantastic for some pamper time. Located in the Brewers Quay and harbour area of Weymouth, this mews house is less than five minutes' walk from Weymouth's historic harbourside, where you can enjoy fresh fish and chips as the boats float by. Newton's Cove beach and the Nothe Gardens are both only a few minutes' walk away, so this is the ideal house for parking up the car in the secure parking, and getting around on foot. Weymouth’s golden sand beach and shallow waters are around a 15-minute walk, or why not take a short row across the harbour in the row boat ferry. No trip to the beach is complete without an ice cream and there are plenty of incredible local ice creams to try! Nuke would suit a couple seeking a romantic seaside retreat or a small family wanting to have fun on the beaches.

The small hamlet of Waberthwaite is situated on the West Coast of Cumbria within the Lake District National Park, comprising of a scattering of cottages, farm dwellings and a traditional village pub. Waberthwaite enjoys an enviable position amidst some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain and is situated close to local beaches, coastal walks and many of the nearby conservation areas. The local skyline is dominated by the towering peaks of Scafell, Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell and nearby the stunning valleys of Eskdale and Dunnerdale provide breathtaking and ever-changing scenery to be enjoyed throughout the year. Local attractions include Muncaster Castle, a World Owl Centre and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway, all of which provide wonderful and varied days out.

Close to the old harbour and Newton's Cove. Very good internet connection and very good state-of-the-art TV. Own covered parking place is also a good point. ------------------------------------------- It was the second time we've stayed here and I mentioned it before - the bannister does not go all the way to the top of the stairs, it stops at the first corner, not good, it is a safety concern.

Its well appointed, but a few minor niggles are the size of the mugs/cups they are huge and the size of the frying pan, again huge and for two totally impractical. Also Freezer needed defrosting it was difficult to open any of the drawers due to ice.As I say it would not put us off renting again but minor niggles. Its a perfect location , parking can be a little tight but very handy opposite the front door.An ideal cottage to stay at any time of the year.

The area is being revamped with building work in progress in numerous buildings close by. But this didn’t hamper our stay , we had a lovely time there lots of walking and cycling which we found the easiest to get around.
