About this property

Recently refurbished and furnished to a high standard, this pretty thatched cottage sits tucked away in the quintessential Dorset Coastal village of Osmington. The bright and clean decor gives the cottage a cosy feel, with quirky, individual touches around the property.  The open plan kitchen, diner and lounge lends itself perfectly to socialising and relaxing during your stay. Around a 20 minute walk along the famous South West Coast Path leads you to Osmington Mills, the beautiful coastal hamlet, known for its colourful history of smugglers, who supposedly took refuge in the local Inn (now The Smugglers Inn), which dates back to 13th Century.

Situated next to Craig's Farm Dairy, tea room and farm shop, you will find yourself perfectly placed for buying fresh milk, cheeses and wonderful ice cream.  A short drive away is the bustling seaside town of Weymouth, with a wealth of bars, restaurants, shops and activities, as well as the three mile stretch of idyllic sandy beach, hosting a range of traditional seaside entertainment during the summer months and great for wintry strolls out of peak season.

We would also recommend a trip East to the unique Lulworth Cove during your stay; spend the day on the sheltered shingle beach, or enjoy a meal at one of the local pubs or restaurants, while taking in the stunning scenery. A walk from Lulworth Cove over to Durdle Door offers the perfect opportunity to admire the striking views over the coastline and unusual geological formations.

Accommodation: Open plan kitchen, diner and lounge with electric log burner effect fire. Cloakroom with toilet and hand basin. Stairs to first floor: Bedroom 1, super king size double bed. Bedroom 2, twin single beds or a super king size double bed (please specify your preference when booking).  Bathroom, bath and rinse attachment, separate shower, hand basin and toilet.

We were very happy with the cottage, it was extremely well equipped especially technology (smart TV, ipod player, good wi-fi), very comfortable and well stuated for exploring all of the Dorset coast, we did however miss having a private outdoor space probably due to the weather being so fantastic. I would definitly use Dream Cottages again as the whole booking process was very professional. Thanks for a great week. Stayed June 2018

Another first class stay at.Magnolia cottage , it really is a delightful cottage, the cows peer over the fence on their way to and from milking which adds another touch especially if you have children , the cottage is well equipped for children also.it is very central for all the bays etc . And you can leave the car behind and just walk .We intend to return sometime. Stayed June 2018
