This delightful cottage is an annexe attached to the owner’s home and boasts incredible views over Freshwater Bay and the south west coast. Offering spacious accommodation downstairs you will find a living/dining room with TV and patio doors to the terrace where you can enjoy the extensive sea views. It is the perfect place to relax and spend time together. The compact kitchen has everything you need for creating delicious meals and a ground floor en-suite double bedroom completes the downstairs. Upstairs is another large double bedroom with en-suite and elevated views across the coast and out to sea. Situated on the outskirts of the popular village of Burton Bradstock, The Doves is ideally located for exploring much of the Jurassic coastline. Burton Bradstock is famed for the Hive Beach and Café, as well as two lovely pubs, village shop and a post office. Located just three miles from West Bay where ITV’s hit series Broadchurch was filmed, there are plenty of sites to recognise, be sure to enjoy a delicious local ice dream as you wander around the harbour. Bridport, with it’s popular antiques market and great mix of coffee shops, restaurants and independent shops, is the perfect place to wander or to sit and watch the world go by. Further afield you can find the county town of Dorchester, just 15 miles away. Lyme Regis with the famous Cob Harbour is only 13 miles away and the Isle of Portland and Weymouth with it’s golden sandy beach and shallow waters are around 20 miles to the east. Whatever your chosen holiday adventures The Doves is a great location for exploring in all directions with ease.
Burton Bradstock is a coastal village on the renowned Jurassic Coast. It boasts two pubs, a shop and a post office, as well as access onto Hive Beach with its stunning cliffs. Explore the South West Coast Path running along the idyllic Jurassic Coast, while popular places such as Bridport, Weymouth and Dorchester are easy to reach.

The view from the cottage is beautiful and it was spotlessly clean throughout, with comfortable beds. Yes the facilities are a little basic, the kitchen is small but practical and has everything you could need. The owners were on hand if needed and were very welcoming, but left us to get on with our visit, with reassurance they were around if needed. There are plenty of shops nearby in Bridport and the location of the cottage was just perfect for venturing East or West up the coast to local beaches etc. The Wi-Fi wasnât great in the downstairs bedroom but that didnât cause any big issues. The upstairs bedroom was light and airy and very comfortable. The property is on a busy coast road so there is inevitably noise, but this quietened down during the evening and was no problem for sleeping. The gardens were immaculately looked after and beautiful to look at. We wouldnât hesitate to return and thank you for a wonderful break!

It was everything we could have wished for. It is spacious, clean and well equipped with magnificent panoramic views of the Jurassic Coast. Close to many interesting places to visit. The owners are such lovely people and made us feel welcomed. We certainly hope to return.
