Views over a spacious established garden are afforded from this first floor, self-contained apartment. The Duck Wing will be a pleasure for guests and pets alike in this particularly pet-friendly property. Dogs are welcomed with their own basket and have the run of the lawn and paddock to explore. 

The garden too will delight guests; a summerhouse with kitchenette, electricity and heating is available along with a traditional BBQ. Chairs on the lawn enable guests to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening.

The Five Bells Inn is just a couple of minutes' stroll away (and it's dog-friendly) serving a good selection of food along with local ales. Particularly recommended are Pat's beer battered fish and home-made steak and kidney puddings. Also, do sample the local beers and ales supplied by Palmers of Bridport. 

The Duck Wing is located in the heart of the most beautiful countryside where country walks and footpaths are abounding. Exploring the coastal areas is only a short drive away too; Lyme Regis with it's famous Cobb Harbour is perfect for fossil hunting or enjoying a coffee on the Esplanade or visit West Bay where sometimes you can have the whole beach to yourself.

For a lovely morning's shopping visit the market town of Bridport which is only ten minutes away by car and a visit to the local WI market can result in locally grown produce, freshly baked bread and home-made jams.   Returning home you can relax and explore the owner's own garden and vegetable garden where there's always something to be picked in season. The following morning you can enjoy – with the owner's best wishes – the complimentary Welcome Pack including sausages, bacon and her own free range eggs for a good hearty breakfast.

Dogs – and there can be more than one – are very welcome at The Duck Wing and they soon sense the happy, relaxed atmosphere. There's hot/cold-running water for hosing down muddy dogs and lots of doggy towels provided. If you want to go out at night, dog sitting can be provided by arrangement providing they (the dogs) are happy to come and share the Aga!

Accommodation: Access is via a shared hallway and stairs.  Entrance hall, shared hall and stairs to your own private front door.
