Winding, steep stairs lead to two comfy bedrooms; a king size double with handsome wooden floors and a single room with stacker beds. They share a smart shower room. Outside is a small enclosed garden with a patio, table and chairs. Drewsteignton is on a ridge a mile from the most spectacular part of the River Teign valley, ideal for walking the wooded river-bank and heathland. The scenery here is second to none, extraordinary Castle Drogo with its superb gardens is nearby, as is the friendly town of Chagford. A comfortable, cosy, tucked away retreat Churchgate Cottage is a perfect place to get away from it all.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure.
