"This is a remarkably fine holiday home - by that we mean that it feels really homely. We liked the scale, the photos of the family, and the bedroom with the Andy Warhol print is the best in the house. Loved the conservatories. The property manager was very kind to us. Nothing was too much trouble. Despite being big, there is a friendly feel to the place (there were only three of us). The brochure does not do this house justice. The moor is wonderful and on the doorstep."

  • Watts family

"The house was lovely and spacious ideal for a family holiday. It had a lovely homely feel to it. The surrounding area was great with easy access to Dartmoor and plymouth. Just watch out for the cattle grid on the drive way"

"I've stayed at approx 15 different Helpful Holiday houses, all of them excellent, but this was the best of all. A most characterful, interesting, light, large roomed but cosy, quiet and secluded house, with very friendly and helpful owner. Tennis court in top condition, five excellent living rooms, perfect frisbee lawn, best pub in Devon a mile pleasant (if steep) stroll away. Bargain of the century."
