The bedrooms are situated upstairs, with a choice of a double or twin room - ideal for both a family of four or a getaway with friends. A ground-floor bathroom is perfect for washing the sand off your feet after a day at the beach. A pinewood decorated kitchen is equipped with the all the necessary amenities for a self-catering trip. From here, the back door opens up to a patio with table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee whilst waiting for the rest of the group to wake up. Let the children play one of the board games on offer whilst you sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a book in hand. Many popular tourist attractions rest within easy reach, from many fascinating historical sites nearby to the Dinosaur amusement park nearby - fun for all the family. Enjoy a traditionally British Sunday lunch in the local pub, highly recommended by locals. For an educational experience, visit the honey bee farm a 17.7-mile distance from the cottage. Escape to the splendour of Devon with your loved ones, making The Guns your homely base.

Beaford is a small rural village in North Devon, with a haunted pub and close to the spectacular RHS garden at Rodemoor. Four miles away is Great Torrington, an unspoilt town built on high ground above the River Torridge, and is a short drive from the spectacular North Devon Coast at Westward Ho!. With historic links to the Civil War, the Torrington 1646 attraction at Castle Hill in the town gives an interesting insight to the Roundheads and Cavaliers. Another leading tourist attraction is Dartington Crystal where visitors can see craftsmen blowing and shaping glass, follow the history of glassmaking and buy some beautiful pieces. The town has a good selection of individual shops, a friendly atmosphere, and some good inns. There are many villages to visit on the North Devon Coast, including picturesque Clovelly, built on a steep hillside above the sea, Westward Ho! with fabulous sandy beaches and Hartland village with narrow streets, village square and Hartland Point with breathtaking sea and coastal views. Great Torrington is a quiet, convenient base from which to explore North Devon, the Tarka Trail and the rolling Devon landscapes.
