Westward Ho! was made famous in Charles Kingsley's novel of the same name, and can offer a golden sandy beach, backed by a unique pebble ridge, attracting visitors from all over the country. Northam Burrows Country Park is home to England's oldest golf course, while the South West Coastal path and Tarka Trails pass closely by providing magnificent walks. The fishing village of Clovelly boasts art shops, tea rooms and craft centres.
