2 adults and 2 teenagers. Just Wow! A truly beautiful apartment. Very clean, very comfortable and very high quality fixture and fittings (even the kitchen utensils are branded ones!) and a view that I never got tired of! The location is perfect for exploring Ilfracombe so the car could stay in the nearby car park (cove car park near the lifeboat station, 0.18 miles away) the permit for which was sorted prior to arrival by Jason, the host who was super helpful and responsive. A really nice guy. The arrival and departure process was smooth and easy and I didn't struggle to get my car near for unloading/loading. There was a downloadable info pack that had all the instructions for the apartment such as how to use the cooker, thermostat etc. A nice touch. The best food we had was at the nearby pub called the Hip at No8. Really nice burgers and good atmosphere. Lots of restaurants are closed Monday-Wednesday and then get busy so booking is necessary so I didn't try many other places. Wetherspoons is always available and their rooftop area is nice enough. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Comfortable living area and a well stocked kitchen with everything that you need. Bedrooms are compact but comfortable, and bathrooms were clean. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend. Things to consider: The stairs - obviously mentioned in the listing so not a surprise - only time it was an issue for us was loading and unloading the car one first and last day. Also when people from other flats are going up and down stairs it’s very loud. The pillows - they were not great would recommend taking your own if you’re fussy about them/have any kind of neck issue. The headboard in the master bedroom is the pretty but not particularly comfortable to lean on. The external bins - the bins were overflowing pretty much every day we were there and we couldn’t find a recycling bin identified for the apartment. The bins were emptied on one of our last days but there then seemed that others were using the apartment’s bin, many on the road had a lock to stop this happening which I can imagine is a pain but it wasn’t ideal walking downstairs not knowing if you were going to be able to put the rubbish anywhere. Because they were overflowing the smell wasn’t great and there were a lot of flies around. Church outside - there is a church outside the bedroom windows which chimes on the hour - if you are a light sleeper this and the seagulls may cause you a problem especially if you have the windows open. All in all the above were minor things and absolutely didn’t dampen our enjoyment, worth mentioning that Jason was a great host and made sure we knew he was available should he be needed. He offered to arrange a parking permit for us just before the stay but we had already purchased one.
