This surprisingly spacious cottage sits at the end of a terrace in the small village of Northam. Close to the Northam Burrows Country Park and Nature Reserve, visitors to the property also benefit from the nearby leisure centre, gym and swimming pool. Ideally placed for visits to Bideford and Appledore, centrally-heated Old Swan Cottage makes a good base to explore the area whatever the season.  Comfortably furnished in a traditional cottage-style, it has a separate living room, dining room and kitchen as well as three bedrooms, two of which have lovely distant sea and burrows views. There is shared use of a fully enclosed walled garden with mature borders and a large patio with barbecue. Storage for cycles and surfboards is useful for active families. Westward Ho!, just a 10 minute drive away, has a great reputation for surfing and the flat Tarka Trail cycle route passes through the unspoilt countryside much as it was described by Henry Williamson in his classic novel 'Tarka the Otter.'

Utility area with washing machine and chest freezer. First Floor: Accessed by steep staircase. Bedroom 1 with Double, TV, DVD. Bedroom 2 with bunk bed. Second Floor:  Bedroom 3 with Double and single, TV, DVD. Bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. 

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Gas CH. WiFi. No smoking. One small pet welcome. Stairgates available. Short breaks available. Storage for cycles and surfboards. Only sleeps 4 people outside 18 May - 14 Sep (except for school holidays). Driveway parking for 1 car (space for additional car by prior arrangement).  Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
