Hillside is a cosy yet modern lodge based on the stunning family run park Gara Mill. Filled with high quality furnishings and all the home comforts you could need, this is the perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing retreat and the opportunity to reconnect with nature.
From the three bright and comfortable bedrooms you can look out across the stream and towards the woodland. You can step out from the open plan living, kitchen and dining area onto your own private decked area, the perfect place to take in the rural surroundings from the gentle bubbling of the hot tub.
Gara Mill sits tucked in the Devon countryside, so it’s perfect for those of you who love to feel far from the hustle and bustle, and there are some fantastic days out within easy reach by car. With Slapton Sands just a short drive away, you can enjoy a day lazing on the beach and taking in the scenery. There are also river boat trips from Dartmouth and crab fishing on the jetty at Dittisham, you will be spoilt for choice for activities that your family will love.

...been going to Dartmouth camping for over 20 years. The only downside (as advertised) is that there is no WIFI or telephone signal at the property. The hot tub was a bonus and made up for this. The lack of WIFI is however the only reason for us not returning. Submitted by AD on 01/01/2017

...Holidays were simply perfect. The booking experience was simple and communication was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. In terms of the accommodation, If you are looking for amenities in walking distance then this place isn't for you. You reach the lodge along a 5 mile single track but it's worth the drive! This place is a perfect getaway from it all location. All you can hear at night is the babbling stream and the birds in the trees. The lodges are simply perfect. All the linen and towels are provided and the dishwasher is a welcome bonus when you are on holiday. We visited the goats in the meadow which is right next to the lodge. They are very friendly! These lodges are perfectly located to visit the local areas of Dartmouth, Brixham and Torquay. A visit to the Start Bay Inn for fish and chips, just down the road in Torcross is a must! It gets very busy but it's well worth it. Another must visit is the lovely Salcombe, again only a short drive away but a really lovely place.
