Date of our visit: 9/9/22 for 7 days The web site description we believe uses 'poetic licence'. The description and pictures should be reformatted to accurately reflect the current layout and status of the property The reasons for us booking The Court House were the ‘ultra modern kitchen’ and the two ‘Gorgeous rest room facilities’ As stated in the current web site description. Kitchen The layout of the property is not as shown and described on the web site, the ‘ultra modern kitchen’ has been reformatted to a standard arrangement and the gas hob Island no longer exists. It’s replaced by the dining table. The gas hob and oven below is now integral to the main work surface of the kitchen which has been replaced with a stainless-steel work surface Bathrooms The ‘two gorgeous restrooms’ are one bathroom with WC and a small shower room with No WC. Toilet seat in bathroom requires replacing as one fixing will not lock properly and the seat moves around! Why no toilet roll holders? Bedrooms The small double bedroom presently has a double bed against the wall so can only be accessed from one side. It has an original inbuilt cupboard but difficult to get to with the bed so close. Other bedrooms as stated Terrace The web site shows a table and two benches. These do not exist and have been replaced with external settees with cushioned seats and back rests. They were unusable because they were soaked. In our opinion the decor and fittings appear tired and the property is in need of refurbishment

Really good location for shops, pubs and restaurants. Only negatives, the second double bedroom was a little small and the wooden stairs were a little steep for very young children. We had a plumbing issue but Skyes rectified very quickly, would definitely come back to Salcombe and would use Sykes again.
