A fantastic family friendly front row lodge, with views over Soar Mill Cove
23 Salcombe Retreat is the perfect lodge for a family escape to the South Hams. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you need to make your family’s break special.
As you enter the modern, open plan living area you’ll be struck by the quality, cosy feel that this lodge has to offer. There is a large, chocolate brown leather corner group sofa which is the perfect place to relax in front of a film or be entertained by the games console and range of games on offer. The lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen and informal dining area with all the amenities one needs for a fun packed holiday in the South Hams.
There are three generously sized bedrooms, the master has a comfortable king sized bed and large mirrored built in wardrobe. There is also another double room and the third bedroom is perfect for children, with great quality bunk beds, TV with DVD player and built in wardrobes. There is also a travel cot and highchair provided if needed.
Salcombe Retreat has a dog exercising area and children’s play area, it’s a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Soar Mill Cove and there are lots of other sandy beaches nearby - such as Thurlestone and Hope Cove. Salcombe town centre is a 10 minute drive away and Kingsbridge is a 15 minute drive away, so if you feel like venturing a little further afield during your stay you’ll find some days out to remember within easy reach.

We have been to this lodge at Salcombe Retreat four years running, we love it so much! The lodge is immaculate with all the mod cons you would expect, making for a very comfortable holiday. There are the most amazing sea views from the lodge and the decking area is the perfect place for a glass of wine to watch the sunset in the evening! It's located in a beautiful spot with lovely coastal walks on the doorstep. The scones at the nearby Walkers Hut are worth walking for! Also well worth a visit is Salcombe (for the sea salt fudge) and Kingsbridge (for fish n chips at The Codfather). We always look forward to our next holiday at Salcombe Retreat!

I have now stayed in this lodge twice and can't wait to go back again. It has fabulous sea views and is beautifully decorated throughout with very good quality bedding and furniture and a kitchen that is far better quipped than my kitchen at home! It is a real home from home and is extremely comfortable. There is plenty of space for a large family and the two separate bathrooms are a great bonus. The Lodge is surrounded by wonderful countryside with endless walks and coastal views. The Winking Prawn restaurant/bar is a must and is only a 5 minute drive from the lodge. It sits right on a charming little cove great for children and dogs and serves fabulous cream teas, food,hot chocolate and alcohol! The Lodge is a great place to go at anytime of the year. In the summer, the decked veranda has a great seating area with bbq where you can sit watching the sun set over the sea and in the winter, the fire in the lounge is great for cosy nights in looking out onto stormy seas. I would highly recommend the lodge. The owners have provided every possible luxury and the location is second to none. If you are looking for a relaxing break in luxury surroundings with breathtaking views, this is it!

We have just returned and are already looking to rebook. Excellent location, superb views overall such a perfect spot. The accommodation had everything you needed and a well equipped kitchen. The area is beautiful and so many lovely beaches near by. we will be back.
