Externally, the large lawned garden is furnished with a barbeque, patio table and chairs. There is also a lawned tennis court and plenty of space for outdoor sports and games.

 

Stowford Manor is located in the town of Ivybridge which is close to Dartmoor National Park with its rugged and beautiful wooded valleys, tumbling rivers and famous granite tors. The ideal place for walking, riding or fishing. The Two Moors Way walking path is easily accessible from Stowford Manor and keen walkers can also take the Devon Coast to Coast path that runs through Ivybridge.

 

Ashburton, an ancient stannary town, is a short drive away and offers many cafes and lovely shops specialising in antiques and artwork. The city of Plymouth is within a 20 minute drive and is home to National Marine Aquarium, The Barbican, The Royal William Yard and Plymouth Hoe, which offer amazing walks and stunning views.

 

The Elizabethan town of Totnes is also nearby it boasts is own castle and hosts colourful markets on Fridays and Saturdays. Sharpham Vineyard is just outside Totnes, there you can sample fine wines and Devonshire cheese.  The nearest beaches are the scenic Bigbury-on-sea and Bantham; both within a 30 minute drive.
