"We had a lovely restorative time at Medlake Farm. It is a wonderful environment in which to really escape from everything, bury yourself deep in the countryside, breath and relax. We loved the peace and quiet (No traffic noise and you wouldn't have to see a soul if you didn't want to) and plenty of wildlife and beautiful outdoor space to explore. The cottage is lovely and steeped in history, just remember to pack your slippers as the downstairs floors can be cold. If you are going with children (We have 4 between the ages of 9 and 15) I recommend signing them up for activity days at Roadford lake. Ours went for three days of sailing, climbing, raft building and archery, which they thoroughly enjoyed. You may also like to know that the local pub in Spreyton is called Tom Cobley Tavern, and is a family friendly, award winning, real ale and cider pub."
