Alternatively, visit the waterfront city of Gloucester, Cheltenham with its historic Georgian architecture and Gold Cup Horse racing.

Wotton-under-Edge is a market town in the Gloucestershire countryside which dates back to the 10th Century, and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, a cinema, museum and hill fort. There are many good walks and cycle trails originating from the town, including access to the Cotswolds Way, which passes through the town. Picture perfect towns and villages are within easy reach, including Badminton, Tetbury, Bath and Cheltenham, and there are also some National Trust properties in the area.
