Set amidst beautiful countryside in the heart of the Cotswolds, these delightful cottages offer the opportunity for a romantic break, peaceful getaway or exploring this area’s villages and attractions. Converted from traditional honey coloured stone farm buildings, and retaining original features in their well appointed interiors, they are set around a courtyard adjacent to the owners’ home on a working farm. Home Farm’s location in a picturesque village is ideal for walking, cycling and touring, the local pub serving food is a short stroll from the cottages and just 2.5 miles away Chipping Campden, one of the Cotswolds’ loveliest small towns, offers interesting shops and a wide choice of restaurants. Broadway (6 miles) is home to unique shops, designer boutiques and superb art galleries as well as a tower offering one of England’s finest viewpoints with 13 English counties to be seen on a clear day. Hidcote (NT) and its impressive gardens are only 2 miles and Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon are all easily accessible.. Beautiful part of the country for walking and picture postcard villages. Ebrington is a charming village. Accommodation is excellent for two - comfortable, spacious and warm. The owners are nearby and are very friendly and helpful

Our 3rd time at Gilberts, which says it all.The hosts are really friendly and welcoming.Cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay.Beautiful, peaceful location!!

I knew it was basic when I booked it and I was only staying the weekend so Gilbert’s met my needs. I knew too it was a working farm and that other cottages and possibly B&B would mean there could be some noise of traffic. Whether that would be cars, tractors, animals, people I didn’t know but I still booked. And that was all fine. The only thing I did complain about was when I was disturbed for about an hour by the farm dogs barking on Saturday afternoon. Apparently it’s something they do when the grass verge onto the road is cut. But Gilbert’s is right next to where the dogs are chained so there was no escape. Veronica told me there was nothing she could do, it only happens about every 10 days and that I was on a working farm. I didn’t think this was an appropriate reaction. It was only when I handed back the key that she apologised for the disturbance. Perhaps a warning about such an intrusive disturbance could be given so I could make arrangements to be elsewhere. Otherwise the weekend and the accommodation was fine.
