Please come and see us at Alderley House, conveniently located and within a few minutes’ walk of the centre of the village, this lovely detached holiday house is an ideal base from which to explore and savour the delights of the Cotswolds, much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With the sparkling and swiftly flowing River Windrush racing through the broad expanse of village green, the ’Venice of the Cotswolds’ as Bourton is referred to, is a treat for visitors no matter what time of year. With its graceful low stone bridges spanning the small river at intervals, the centre of the village is picture postcard perfect throughout the seasons. The Roman road and the Fosse Way, is a major access route running across the area, taking the visitor from Moreton-in-Marsh in the north to Cirencester in the south. Local Bourton attractions include the Model Village, Motor Museum and Birdland. Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Kenilworth castles are all within a comfortable drive, while the beautiful gardens of Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote Manor are near beautiful Chipping Campden. Alderley house is a wonderful holiday home and a base to explore the Cotswolds. The house has all of the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. Our group family group of grandparents, parents and grandchildren all really enjoyed our only too brief stay, only four nights, albeit during the hottest May in any of our lifetimes.I would strongly recommend the holiday home to any one thinking of staying in this area. Thank you so much Steve and Margaret for making us so comfortable.

We stayed at Alderly House for our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our children, their partners, our little grandson and our two well behaved dogs. We had a truly lovely weekend and Alderly House was just perfect for our family, plenty of space to spread out, ample parking and a lovely secure garden for the dogs and the humans too!!! It was immaculately clean and had everything there that we needed. Also it was perfectly situated for a short walk into the beautiful village of Bourton on the Water - a beautiful setting. Our thanks also to Margaret who was so kind and helpful on the phone when we needed her. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in the Cotswolds. Jane W
