About this property

No. 1 Eastington is a beautiful traditional stone cottage full of charm and character. Set in a wonderfully rural location in the hamlet of Eastington at the heart of the Cotswolds, boasting spectacular views over the beautiful countyside.

Built in the 1700's, this historic retreat retains much of its original features such as exposed beams and stonework. The cottage also has a contemporary feel inside with its modern and fully equipped kitchen. The spacious sitting room boasts comfortable seating and an elegant open fireplace. A separate dining room with table and chairs seating four guests as well as ample storage room for coats and muddy boots in the hallway. The two en-suite bedrooms are spacious and light with stylish furnishings. Outside, the cottage garden is large and enclosed with mature apple trees and a delightful herb garden for guests to use during their stay.

The historic market town of Northleach is close by with it's stunning church, local shops and eateries, all set within the valley of the River Leach. The Abbey of Gloucester granted the town a charter in 1220 to hold a weekly market which transformed the town by the wool trade. The Fosseway (Roman Road) cuts through the edge of Northleach to link the pretty villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold which are a must to see in the local area.
