About this property

… 70 yards along a private, hardcore no through lane in Pendoggett, and 100 yards from the pub, a detached cob and stone cottage with its origins in the 18th cent.. Most of its ½ acre lawned garden is at the back, shaded by mature sycamore trees with a glimpse of the sea at the far end, and reached by either a gradual slope or 10 steps.

Inside, a much loved family home with good pieces of old furniture. Open-fronted porch to hall; generous living room with granite fireplace (multi-fuel stove), TV/DVD and original beams; dining room with woodburner and beams; large fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric oven/hob) with interesting 1920 tiled floor, breakfast table/chairs and back door to outhouse games room (half-sized pool table, table football) and garden; utility area with washing machine, tumble drier plus shower-room and bathroom (suite plus hand-shower), all retaining 1920s floor tiles. Stairs (stairgate) from hall up to three bedrooms – two double, one with washbasin, one with limited clothes-hanging space, and a twin with washbasin; loo (washbasin).

"We thought the cottage was delightful, warm, cosy, clean and well equipped for self catering. It is ideally placed between Port Isaac and Boscastle and has easy access to the coastal paths for walking. It is a short and pretty walk across the fields and through the woods to Port Gaverne."

  • Mrs A Richards

"Another lovely stay in this gorgeous cottage. Unfortunately we probably will not return to this particular cottage because of my parents in law's reducing mobility, but we will definitely book again through you if we come to Cornwall again"
