The ground floor is made up of a well-equipped kitchen and a large sitting room with its marble tiles and full-length sliding doors which lead to the extensive terrace which sits majestically overlooking the bay. Sit and relax on the rattan furniture and loungers whilst you sip on a cooling drink after a day spent building sandcastles on the beach. The pretty seaside village of Downderry is just down the hill and offers a traditional Cornish pub, an excellent bistro as well as a general store and Post Office.Take a short stroll down hill to Downderry beach, with its numerous rock pools, where dogs are permitted all year round. The popular towns of Looe and Polperro are just short drives away whilst the city of Plymouth and all its attractions is only a half hour drive.
The excellent Whitsand Bay with its four mile stretch of sandy beach is also close by and is a must for beach lovers. Looe Island View is a spectacular Cornish holiday cottage to be enjoyed at any time of year.
The small coastal village of Downderry in south east Cornwall offers a sheltered beach, shop, cliff top pub and an excellent restaurant, serving quality local food. At low tide it's possible to walk along the sand from Downderry to Seaton, where you will find a family friendly south facing beach, and the Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature Reserve is closeby. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away and further afield is Plymouth.
