About this property

Tucked away on a quiet street, about 500 yards above Padstow harbour is Nohens. A period house that has been transformed into a super-smart and stylish abode arranged over three floors. This contemporary seaside home, offers thoroughly stylish and comfortable accommodation whilst retaining plenty of the original features. A spacious hallway leads through to the sitting room, a relaxing space furnished with a soft leather settee and chairs, oak flooring and a large bay window that fills the room with light. At the rear of the property, a light and airy open plan kitchen diner is the place to gather, with a sofa and dining space, wall mounted TV, along with a breakfast bar to perch for morning coffee. The smart glossy white kitchen is perfectly equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and provides ample space for everyone to chip-in and prepare the family meals. Through patio doors, a Mediterranean, white-washed courtyard garden is a suntrap, with pretty coastal planters and table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. A ground floor wet room with drench shower is a useful addition to dive into after a day on the beach, and there is a ground floor cloakroom.

A magnificent limed oak, glazed staircase sweeps you up to the first floor and three bedrooms. A double room, a super-king double that can split into twin beds and a further twin room. On this floor, a lovely stylish bathroom is furnished with pea-shaped bath with a drench shower over. On the second floor, there is a further king-size double bedroom set into the eaves with sloping ceilings. Here you can enjoy the magnificent views across the rooftops of Padstow to the beach and estuary.

Only a short distance from the fascinating life of Padstow, Nohens is just a short walk from the shops, town and harbour, here a pedestrian ferry can take you to Rock where there is a water sports and sailing school, and there is a very good golf course at St Enodoc. For family or friends looking to enjoy a break in this highly desirable seaside destination on the north Cornish coast, Nohens will make a 1st class choice!

Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside.

Very well equipped kitchen as well. Thank you. Only thing to mention is that when is rains the back double bedroom is very noisy and we think next doors down pipe runs onto the flat roof and it’s very load - it gushes water every now and again and makes a drumming sound. But overall a lovely property.

There’s only one bathroom upstairs and a downstairs toilet so slightly miss leading in my opinion. Wet room downstairs is amazing we loved that. We could never park near the cottage either , had to park and walk about 10-15 minutes every time.

Very modern with lovely lighting on the stairs that was much appreciated at night. A short, steep walk to the harbour made it easy to access everything without using a car. There is no parking but we were able to park close to the house every time we returned to the house so we didn’t find it a problem. It did take us a while to figure out the hob in the kitchen as it’s a little more high tech than we are! It might be nice to have instructions for those of us who are technically challenged. We were very pleased with our stay and would certainly return if we have the opportunity. A comfortable, stylish and modern home. Thank you
