This charming old farmhouse is a wonderful choice, where simple pleasures of walking along picturesque rivers banks, countryside picnics and times spent with friends and family are foremost on the agenda. Step into a sunny conservatory a place to sit and unwind or kick off walking boots after a day's exploration. The kitchen/diner is typical of a country farmhouse with a large central table for family gatherings and shared mealtimes. Two separate sitting rooms are ideal for larger groups offering a quiet space for some who wish to enjoy a moment of peace to indulge in a good book. There is a useful ground floor shower room and utility. Five bedrooms and a family bathroom occupy the charismatic first floor, beams and sloping floors all part of the charm of this 200 year old farmhouse. Outside there are gardens to the front and rear, and plenty of room for boats and equipment if you are bringing your own. A footpath leads down through Tregithey woods to Carne Creek and joins the coastal footpath. Boats can also be hired at nearby St Anthony where from here you can explore the hidden creeks and inlet or stop off for a picnic at Gillan beach just over a mile away. For coastal adventures and cliff walks, head across to the Lizard peninsula and search out the picture perfect Kynance Cove where scenes from the TV series Poldark were filmed. Tregithey Farmhouse makes a wonderful retreat to share with family and friends at any time of year.
The pretty village of Manaccan offers local facilities including post office/stores, 16th Century Inn and a cafe/bistro. The village is on the Lizard peninsula in south Cornwall and is about five miles southwest of Falmouth. Manaccan lies within the Cornwall area of outstanding natural beauty.

The house was easily big enough for our party of 8.

We really appreciated the little extras left to make it feel welcoming. The house was certainly warm enough and the beds very comfortable, we slept really well. There was certainly enough equipment and utensils in the kitchen, although one area that does need attention is the knives. There were no sharp knives at all which made it difficult to prepare our Christmas meals. It was lovely to be able to walk down to the creek via a private path from the property, although was quite muddy at this time of year. All in all, the property met our needs very well and we would recommend it.
