The Village of Gardens itself is ideal for young families, with a small plunge pool and children's play area onsite, as well as the tennis courts and a Jacuzzi. When you want to explore further, the sheltered beaches at Maenporth and Swanpool are very popular and offer good conditions for bathing and kayaking and the town of Falmouth is just a short drive away. Falmouth is home to a range of shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle and several beautiful gardens. A fantastic base for a family holiday throughout the year, Trouts Reach is a great option for those seeking a combination of coast and sightseeing.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
