A charming converted stables with clock tower, in the grounds of the owner’s house, which is quietly secluded in a lovely setting. It is a favoured area for fishing and birdwatching, and Soham is a small fenland town with excellent facilities within walking distance. An ideal holiday base; Ely is 5 miles away, and Newmarket is within easy reach. Cambridge 20 miles. Bury St Edmunds 15 miles.

The lodge had lovely spacious and comfortable rooms. My husband who is 6ft2in could get round the small bathroom with ease. Timothy the owner was the ultimate gentleman where nothing was to much trouble. He went out of his way to make special arrangements to show us the local church and its fine ancient wooden angels plus the lovely stained glass windows. Also he took the time to show us around his lovely garden and his superb National Pelargonium collection. Thank you Timothy for making our stay so enjoyable.
