Very responsive in case of questions or advice. The accommodation is comfortable with a slightly old-fashioned charm. Nice setting, just a few minutes' drive from the shops, which is a big advantage.

It has a great woodburner stove in the sitting room, which was great as our stay was over a very cold weekend. No negatives, really. The bathroom was across a cold hallway, and there were a few things that would have been useful in the kitchen, such as a grater, colander, and a working corkscrew ... first world problems! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

My husband who is an electrician was mortified to see coiled electrical wire on the lounge wall. This is a dangerous hazard!! Sofa very badly stained, and needs replacing. No gutters by front door, so when we entered the property, it was like a waterfall. Especially, when the door itself was very stiff, and difficult to shut. We were unfortunate to have stormy and wet weather during our stay. However, we left early, as it was not comfortable in the damp weather. On a positive note, the bedrooms were comfortable, and communication with owners was positive. We have stayed many times with Sykes cottages, and this is far by the worse cottage we have stayed. We can't believe Sykes would allow this cottage to be listed, with as high a recommendation - have they actually visited? I feel these are fair comments.
