Nestled between Ballinskelligs Bay and Lough Currane, sits Waterville, the premier coastal tourist centre on the Ring of Kerry. Surrounded by mountains and lakeland, Waterville also offers a fine sandy beach, two golf courses, one being achampionship 18 hole course, and interesting archaeological remains. Enjoy walks along the wonderful Kerry Way or angling and fishing on one of the area's many excellent rivers or lakes. Take a boat trip to the Skellig Rocks, which is a unesco World Heritage Site, and enjoy fabulous vistas across the bay, coupled with seeing one of Europe's best known and oldest monasteries. Other trips of note are Valentia Island with its superb views to Skellig Rocks, Slea Head and the Blanket Islands or a trip to Dingle, or visit the bustling coastal town of Cahersiveen which is only 10 miles away. A great base from which to explore the south west coast, and famous Ring of Kerry.

The cottage was perfect for us and much better than the photos on the website. It had everything for a vert comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, the furniture was well laid out and cosy, the beds were very comfortable, the shower power was good. Our 2 young dogs were happy as they had lots of room to roam around the gardens and it was safe for them. The location of the cottage was ideal for exploring The Ring of Kerry. Overall a truly wonderful experience - lovely to wake up in the morning and potter and great to unwind in after a long day's adventure. Thanks Bernie and Derry.

Beautiful gardens surround the traditional style cottage and it is very well maintained. Very clean and well equipped and tastefully decorated . We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The only slight criticism was that the length of the walk to town was not highlighted. It was doable but along busy roads.
