The views outside this Tarbert cottage are simply glorious, stretching across Scattery Island to the River Shannon estuary and further afield to the wild Atlantic. The village of Tarbert has a variety of shops and pubs with many showcasing traditional Irish music and it serves as the ferry terminal for the Shannon crossing to County Clare, where you may even spot a dolphin or two! The area is renowned for its rural countryside and picturesque coastline with miles of walking routes to enjoy. Just a few minutes' drive away is the popular coastal town of Ballybunion, which has a wonderful golden beach where swimming and watersports can be enjoyed in safety. All the attractions of Clare are easily accessible, including the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Lahinch; whilst further afield, the towns of Killarney, Tralee and Limerick are all within easy reach.
