Guests have praised the Wild Atlantic Way Country Cottage for its comfortable and cosy atmosphere, outstanding views, and welcoming host, Marie. The property is well-liked for its dog-friendly environment and the thoughtful touches such as complimentary passes to the Kerry Cliffs. While some guests suggest the decor could be updated, the overall experience is deemed positive with the cottage serving as a great base for exploring the local area.
The cottage is frequently described as spotlessly clean, which indicates a high level of cleanliness. However, one mention of an unclean oven suggests there is room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions such as the Kerry Cliffs and Portmagee. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
Many reviews highlight the cottage's comfortable and homely feel, with a cosy sitting room and a multi-fuel stove. However, a comment about the heat not reaching all rooms suggests some comfort issues during colder periods.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and adequate amenities. Nonetheless, some guests noted the need for updates and maintenance, such as the decor and radiators, which affects the score.
Marie's hospitality and the provision of basic necessities upon arrival are appreciated, as are the complimentary passes to the Kerry Cliffs. While these gestures are highly valued, guests should note that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed.

The property is well located and with plenty of offroad parking; for some people though, it would be beyond walking distance into Portmagee. The property was well presented and well equipped for two of us but I think it's stretching it to say it could accommodate 8 people. My fault, but we missed where it said that electricity was charged by meter reading. Not a deal breaker but it's outside our normal experience with Sykes, Hoseasons, Booking.com and Airbnb.

Judging by the high standards there, I have no doubt that the accommodation at Wild Atlantic Way Country Cottage is as clean, tidy, well maintained and adequately stocked and just as delightful as Skelligs View! The cottage is well situated to visit the surrounding area (Valencia Island is glorious) being situated on the Skelligs Ring and only a short distance from, and at the much prettier part of, the Ring of Kerry. Killarney and Dingle are a little further afield, but still within easy driving distance. Portmagee is a pretty village with ample pubs and eateries, a well stocked shop and boat trips to The Skelligs. And of course, you get complimentary tickets to the Kerry Cliffs, which are as spectacular as they say!! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
