Beaufort is a small village situated in a scenic area at the foot of the Macgillycuddy Reeks near the Gap of Dunloe. This is a great location for walking with stunning mountain views. The village has shops, pubs and restaurants, and is situated between Killorglin and Killarney, the latter being a mecca for holidaymakers every year with its wide open countryside, beaches close at hand, annual festivals and great night life, with traditional music played in many of the pubs and bars. A host of activities are available in the area including riding, walking, cycling, golf and fishing.

The house and property are absolutely beautiful and every inch is shiny and clean. The house is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless and it has a large dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. Also, Mr. John Kissane was a great host. He had the house warm and cozy the evening we arrived and the next day he stopped by to help us light and operate the hot tub. Which by the way, my family really enjoyed! So, if youâre visiting the Killarney area, I highly recommend staying at Kissaneâs Cottage!

The views are spectacular and watching the cows and sheep across the way was what you want your vacation in Ireland to be all about. The host John was always available but not looking over our shoulders was pleasant and reassuring. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and the outdoor seating was wonderful in the evenings. All and all, I can't say enough about this property. We'll be back next year.

Itâs just minutes away from the stunning Gap of Dunloe so views of the mountains and the surrounding countryside from the house are incredible. The house is very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need and John is also very communicative and helpful. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
