Snaptrip says

Swallow's Nest is a cosy cottage in a serene location, close to beautiful beaches and a friendly local pub. Guests appreciate the helpful host and the property's proximity to Ireland's stunning coastline. While some found the cottage smaller than expected and had issues with cleanliness and facilities, the overall experience is enhanced by the lovely outdoor space and the charm of the surrounding area.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with some guests finding dust and lack of instructions for hot water, while others found it clean and well-equipped. The property may benefit from a more thorough cleaning routine.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, proximity to beaches, and a welcoming local community. The area is described as perfect for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, but some mention the property is small for two people and suggest the addition of a fan for cooling. The comfort level is generally satisfactory.

Facilities receive mixed reviews, with some guests satisfied with the equipment provided, while others note the absence of a washing machine, dishwasher, and poor internet connectivity. The shower's suitability for disabled guests is also questioned.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

About this property

A tremendous and contemporary studio barn conversion set in Tacumshane in County Wexford, Ireland. Open plan living, well-equipped kitchen, large garden. Note: This house can be rented with The Owl's Hoot (965502) and Sanderling Lodge (962010) allowing a party of 18 to enjoy.

The village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant, The Millhouse, and is home to Ireland's only surviving windmill. Built in 1846, the timber used is thought to be beach driftwood or wood from the shipwrecks that were all too common in this coastal region. The windmill is now designated a national monument. This part of County Wexford has plenty on offer - Tacumshane Lake is a favourite with anglers and birdwatchers, there are golf courses, and the coastal walking path is easily reached. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are some lovely beaches, ideal for relaxing and playing on the sand. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away, and offers plenty of amenities including shops, bars and good restaurants.

The local beach (minutes drive away) is beautiful and the local pub/ restaurant (10 mins walk) is great. Brian is a most gracious host and on hand if needed. Would happily stay again.

Could not use the bed upstairs. The area around the cottage was great for keeping the dog exercised. We enjoyed sitting outside in the lovely weather. Mylers pub was great for food and take away. It was open just at the weekend. Lovely beach close to Cottage. Great for walking not sure if it was safe for swimming.
