Visit Mullaghmore, with its quaint sheltered harbour, ideal for watersports and further south spend some time beachcombing the golden sands at Streedagh beach. Sligo town is a short drive away, a bustling town with many attractions on your doorstep, shops and cafes, art galleries, seaweed baths, boat trips on Lough Gill, numerous treks and trails along lakeshores and over mountains. The seaside villages of Strandhill and Rosses Point are well worth a visit, with wonderful beaches. Travel north of Stramore to south County Donegal and explore the dramatic coastline through Killybegs, Carrick and Glencolmcille, arriving at the majestic sea cliffs of Slieve League.
