Tucked into the rugged splendour of Corsica’s northwestern shoreline, Casa Pietra Blu enjoys a privileged position within an exclusive estate, just a short distance from the much-loved village of Cargèse. Arrive via Ajaccio Airport (50km), approximately an hour’s drive away, or by ferry from mainland France or Italy into the historic city of Ajaccio (48km).

The road to Cargèse winds just 550 metres from the property (as is typical in Corsica, no pavement most of the way). With roots dating back to the 17th century, this hillside village blends Greek and Latin influences, evident in its twin churches facing each other. Meander through its leafy lanes to find characterful houses, a selection of restaurants and cafés, as well as small handful of useful shops including a boulangerie and a small supermarket.

Cargèse’s charming harbour (1.5km) is the perfect spot to soak up the coastal ambience - watch local fishing boats come and go or embark on a boat trip to discover Corsica’s rugged coastline.

A number of inviting beaches lie within easy reach. Family-friendly Plage du Péro (3km) offers glorious sands and calm waters, while the more tucked-away Plage de Menasina (2.5km) is prized for its crystal-clear sea and scenic surroundings. Another local favourite, Plage de Chiuni (8km), features expansive sandy shores ideal for a day by the sea.

Active travellers will be well catered for, with the region offering excellent snorkelling, jet-skiing, sea-kayaking and other water sports.
