Part of an exclusive estate, this refined villa combines contemporary elegance with the soul of the island. Clean architectural lines and pale-toned furnishings create a soft, sophisticated atmosphere throughout, while large windows and terraces invite the outdoors in, filling the space with light, sea views and the scent of maquis in the air.
Across two levels, the villa has been designed with comfort and togetherness in mind. The ground floor features a generous open-plan living-dining area, anchored by a chic fireplace and fully equipped kitchen, perfect for convivial evenings with family or friends. Step outside to discover your private dining terrace and infinity-edge pool, an idyllic spot where lazy afternoons stretch into golden evenings. Upstairs, two beautiful suites offer hotel-style comfort with private bathrooms, while two additional twin/double bedrooms share a third bathroom, making this an ideal retreat for families or friends holidaying together.
What truly sets Casa Mallasino apart is how effortlessly it merges the possibility of high-end services with authentic Corsican charm. Whether enjoying a chef-prepared meal in the comfort of your villa, savouring a continental breakfast as the hills blush with morning light or setting out for a day of kayaking or quad biking, an array of extras can be pre-arranged for a memorable stay. The estate’s concierge team is discreet yet attentive, ready to tailor experiences from diving excursions to helicopter tours.
Perched on a hillside tumbling down to the sea, Casa Mallasino’s location allows easy access to village life. Just 550m away lies Cargèse, a hillside village rich in character, where Greek and Latin churches overlook charming lanes, cafés terraces and a handful of restaurants and shops. Down below, the harbour hums with maritime life, while a variety of beaches, including the much-loved Plage du Péro, await just a short drive from your door.
Casa Mallasino is a place where the pace slows, the senses awaken and the beauty of north-west Corsica is yours to discover.
Perched amid the rugged beauty of Corsica’s western coast, Casa Mallasino is set within a small, exclusive estate just moments from the much-loved village of Cargèse. Fly into Ajaccio Airport (50km), just an hour by car, or take the ferry from mainland France or Italy to the city of Ajaccio (48km).
Cargèse is around 550m on foot along the pavement leading to the village. With 17th century origins, this coastal hillside village, with its Greek and Latin churches, exudes both historic and laid-back charm. Wander it’s tree-lined streets to discover pretty houses, a handful of restaurants and cafes and useful shops including a bakery and small supermarket.
For maritime adventures, the picturesque harbour of Cargèse (1.5km) is a delight to explore. Here you can watch colourful boats bob on the water or join a boat tour to uncover hidden coves and sea caves along the dramatic Corsican coastline.
A variety of beaches also beckon – from the popular sandy beach of Plage du Péro (3km), ideal for families, to the slightly more secluded Plage de Menasina (2.5km), known for its clear turquoise waters and magnificent views. Plage de Chiuni (8km) is another much-loved bay with wide sandy shores.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of activities nearby. Whether it’s snorkelling beneath the rocky cliffs or jet-skiing across the Mediterranean, the coastline offers an exhilarating playground for water lovers. Inland, the region is criss-crossed with hiking trails revealing panoramic vistas, while quad biking and horse-riding excursions provide thrilling ways to discover the region’s wild terrain and fragrant maquis-covered hills.
From Cargèse, it is also possible to explore other wonders of north-west Corsica. Spend a day in the bustling capital of Ajaccio (48km), birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, where museums, markets and elegant boulevards await. Or take a scenic drive along winding coastal roads to reach Piana (19km), famed for its awe-inspiring Calanques – towering red rock formations that rise dramatically above the sea. Venture further north beyond Piana to reach the charming seaside village of Porto (31km), a gateway to the unesco-listed Scandola Nature Reserve and renowned for its striking Genoese tower and breathtaking coastal scenery.
