About this property

Named after the small port town it resides in, the villa Orebic is a beachfront property sleeping seven guests. The villa itself is constructed of stone walls, wooden shutters and a terracotta rooftop, typical architecture in this region.

Following steps down from the private parking, you reach a secluded outdoor space where you can continue to enjoy the Croatian sunshine in peace. Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool to cool off from the adventures of the day. Or even better- take your morning swim in the Adriatic Sea that’s on your doorstep! Sun loungers and parasols are scattered around the pool, providing a comfortable place to put your feet up. One of the outdoor dining tables is placed under the shade of a tall tree in the centre of the garden area, providing much-needed shelter from the sun’s rays.

The second, main dining table outside is on the side of the villa, under a canopy so you can enjoy the fresh air while enjoying a delish feast. At an additional cost, you can hire a professional chef to create your meals, making this stay even more effortless. A hammock hangs next to the dining table. When you come back after a long day exploring, take a peaceful moment swinging gently in the hammock breathing in the sea breeze and listening to the sound of the waves. The hardest thing will be getting out!

Through wooden shutter double doors, you are led into an open plan lounge kitchen and dining room. Wooden beams run above you with the stone walls continuing inside the villa creating a homey, authentic feel. Deep cushioned sofas gather around an open fireplace, perfect for when the evenings draw in. An indoor dining table separates the lounge and the kitchen at the other end of the room. The kitchen is well equipped for your stay and includes a microwave, dishwasher, Expresso Caffe and filter coffee machine, juicer, blender and toaster. Although if you choose to hire a professional chef you won’t need to spend much time in the kitchen.

A winding staircase guides you to the floors above. Upstairs the stone walls and wooden beams continue to four bedrooms. Two have queen beds, a third has one single and the master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a convertible sofa-giving it the option of sleeping three guests. While the other three bedrooms share a family bathroom, the master bedroom has its own ensuite. Beach towels and pool towels are provided by the villa making it one less thing you have to think about packing.

Air conditioning and Wi-Fi circulate the villa but with the adventures awaiting outside, you may not need to make the most of them. Orebic is a quaint port town that is great for you to explore. Plus the neighbouring island of Korcula is a short ferry ride away and it is a paradise for every family to enjoy.

Nestled in the port town Orebic, on the Peljesac peninsula, is the villa Orebic. Also known as the town of sea captains due to the Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of Angels. In the 15th century, sailors would return from the sea and sound their sirens when returning. The monastery would be one of the first sights they would see of home and would sound their sirens when seeing the building as a sign of gratitude. To this day the monastery sits on a hill outside of the town and still houses the icon Our Lady of Angels, which was claimed to protect sea captains.

The town lies at the foot of the neighbouring mountain Sveti Ilija which stands at 961m and is one of the best hikes along the Dalmatian coast. From the top, you will see the coastline and sea spread out before you and you may even glimpse wild horses on your journey.

Short boat ride to the neighbouring island Korcula is. The port town Korcula is sometimes known as the 'mini Dubrovnik' due to the similarities of its old town's architecture to that of Dubrovnik. Korcula town is very well preserved, the layout and structure of the old town stem from the second half of the thirteenth century. The old town fortress is laid out in the shape of a fishbone, designed to protect against the strong sea winds. An impressive ‘land gate' is a southern entrance to the old town while a second, smaller entrance lies to the west. The town has many squares and narrow streets to explore with terracotta rooftops overhead. St Mark's Cathedral was built in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and rises tall above the rooftops. Its original charm is intact with high curved archways and detailed stonework visible.

Take to the waters with many adventures to be found. A boat can be rented from the villa where you can explore the coast and swim in the clear waters. Go even further and try snorkelling to get a closer look at what lies beneath the waves. Sunset kayaking tours are a beautiful way to see the island and will be an unforgettable afternoon.

We are in love with traditional coastal architecture, and this amazing property is truly a gem. Both beaches and restaurants can be reached within a short 5-minute walk. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with top-notch amenities. The hostess is extremely friendly and accessible at all times. Overall, I highly recommend this place for both groups and families.

The location is unbeatable. The house is spacious and beautiful. Shops are only a short walk away. There’s direct water access. Lots of water equipment. Heaps of activities in close vicinity. Communication was quick and helpful. We received information for anything we needed to organise. Overall a splendid experience and holiday.

This is a lovely house with a very special access to the sea. Bring some snorkels as the sea and fish are mesmerising! Everything is close at hand including kayak and boat hire. The restful sea view with lots of shade is perfect. I hope you enjoy; we did!
