Guests say

Wilson Eyre Cottage is highly praised for its prime location in Castleton, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, cleanliness, and the beautiful garden, though some mention a drain smell and minor maintenance issues. The cottage's charm and the surrounding area's attractions contribute to a delightful stay.

The cottage generally receives positive remarks on cleanliness, with guests finding it 'extremely clean' upon arrival. However, a few noted the presence of cobwebs and a musty smell in the shower room, suggesting room for improvement in ventilation and attention to detail.

The location is consistently lauded for being central, with easy access to local amenities, restaurants, and walks. Its proximity to a bakery and the views it offers are particularly appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring Castleton.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, contributing to a restful experience. The spaciousness and the layout of the living areas are also highlighted, although there is a mention of a desire for a larger duvet for one of the beds.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a powerful shower and a lovely garden. Some guests experienced issues with the gas fire and hot water, and there were comments about a drain smell in the bathroom, indicating some maintenance needs.

While guests mention receiving goodies and appreciate the provision of local information leaflets, there is not enough consistent detail across the reviews to accurately assess the level of thoughtfulness as a standard offering. Therefore, while individual experiences may have been enhanced by these touches, they cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

would return to stay again. everything needed to enable self catering but lots of places to eat and most pubs also did take aways. provisions available next door at the bakery and across the road at the post office. (could not get fire to light but would only have been for ambience was warm enough. the system may need bleeding as hot water a bit blustery in bathroom and radiator only warm at bottom in double room, not a problem for us just wanting to make aware,)
