Perched in the historic town of Skipton, North Yorkshire, is this recently renovated lovely three-bedroom house, Moor View. Enjoying a superb location just outside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and near the Yorkshire Three Peaks, whilst moments away from the local amenities, Moor View is a fantastic choice for couples or a family of five and views of the Moors from the rear. Be welcomed into the light and airy sitting room, where you can look forward to curling up on the plush seating in front of the Smart TV as the electric flame effect fire gently warms the space.
Continue through to find a fully-equipped kitchen where you can cook up tasty dishes, ready to savour at the dining table for five. After dinner, why not head out to the rear garden to soak up the last of the day’s sunshine with your favourite tipple in hand, displaying views across the town and Moors? Follow the stairs up to the first floor, where you will find three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size, twin (zip and link) and a single, all with plenty of storage and served by a sleek shower room. Explore the town, where you can sample delicious cuisine at The Royal Shepherd Inn, Oakleys Grill & Pizzeria and Craven Kitchen, stock up on essentials at the convenience stores, tour the remarkable Skipton Castle, enjoy leisurely strolls along the Springs Canal and see the sights on a boat trip, or test out your swing at the excellent Skipton Golf Club.
Time your visit right for the annual Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival which takes place in July. If you're keen hikers, complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, climbing Pen-y-ghent , Ingleborough and Whernside within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. On your travels you can also visit the fascinating Bolton Priory, explore the sites of Malham Cove and Janet’s Foss, or wander Parcevall Hall Gardens, along with a plethora of walking and cycling trails. Within the park, you will find Grassington, home to the Grassington Folk Museum and Grass Wood Nature Reserve, or further afield to Harrogate, where you will find the Royal Pump Room Museum, Valley Gardens and the Turkish Baths for the ultimate pamper.
Escape to the Dales with a stay at Moor View.
Skipton is ideally located for exploring the Dales, earning it the nickname "The Gateway to the Dales," while also being a reasonable drive from other popular tourist destinations including York, the Lake District, and the West Coast. A colourful market occupies the cobblestone setts on either side of the high street in this charming market town, which also features an antique castle that is available to the public, a beautiful mediaeval parish church, and a lively atmosphere thanks to its many cafes and shops. After being awarded Britain's "greatest place to live" by The Sunday Times in 2014, Skipton went on to be named one of the top nine towns in Yorkshire and the North East in 2016. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through Skipton, and attractions like the mile-long Foulridge Tunnel and the five-rise locks at Bingley are easily accessible. Embsay and Bolton Abbey also include steam railroads with regular excursion services. You may leave your car at home and take advantage of the area's plentiful public transportation options, as well as its proximity to a variety of recreational opportunities like golf, swimming, squash, tennis, and snooker.

Such a cute place and perfect size for our family of 5, despite sharing one bathroom with our adult children!

Moor View is a great cottage that has everything you need and was nicely decorated for Christmas. It's in a great location, close to the town centre and has lots of beautiful walks to enjoy in the Dales. Would definitely recommend.

It puzzled us then why the owners were so parsimonious with items such as dishwasher tabs - two left for three nights, toilet rolls, one and a half, and a few tea bags. A request for a cafetière and tea strainer was denied.
