Originally built by a prominent local wheat merchant suspected of being a smuggler, The Normans in Wells-next-the-Sea, is a magnificent three-storey hideaway. With incredible far-reaching views across Stiffkey marshes and the pinewoods at Holkham, this property is located a mere two-minute walk from the Wells harbour.
Wrapped up in local folklore, there is more to The Normans than meets the eye. Little clues, such as wheatsheaves detailed in the plasterwork, hint to a mysterious past. Brimming with original features and character, this elegant sprawling property is well-proportioned and bright. Contemporary additions to the property include a beautiful chandelier, which is a replica of those found in Morston Church, and the conversion of the brick vaulted cellar into a cosy cinema room.

Once home to many fisherman, Wells-next-the-Sea is a traditional Norfolk coastal town. Little boutique shops and eateries nestle into narrow maze-like streets, and the quay bustles with activity.
